Catherine Roberts, DNP, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Catherine Roberts is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a

broad clinical background and many years of experience working with adults across a variety of

healthcare settings. She has worked in psychiatry since 2017 and earned her Doctor of Nursing

Practice degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2026.

She takes a collaborative, holistic approach to care, working together with patients to develop

individualized treatment plans that reflect their symptoms, needs, preferences, and goals. Her

approach emphasizes careful psychiatric assessment, medication management, patient education,

and the integration of evidence-based psychiatric care.

She provides care for adults experiencing a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety

disorders, panic attacks, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD),

phobias, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),

grief and loss, and stress management. She also has an interest in working with first responders

and military service members and veterans experiencing trauma-related issues.

She believes that effective mental health care begins with listening. She strives to create a

supportive, respectful environment in which patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns

and actively participating in decisions about their treatment. Her goal is not only to reduce

symptoms, but also to help patients improve their overall functioning and quality of life.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her beloved cat. She loves

the Carolina beaches and mountains and is always happy to spend a little time browsing the
