About R. James Klingenhagen (He/Him)
James Klingenhagen helps teens, adults, and seniors throughout Ohio manage mental health and substance use concerns with compassionate, individualized care. As a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse at LifeStance Health, he provides medication management designed to support greater stability, recovery, and improved quality of life.
James works with patients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, and alcohol and drug use issues, as well as additional mental health concerns. He also provides substance use medication management and may incorporate mindfulness into treatment, helping patients take an active role in their mental health journey.
With a strong passion for helping others through recovery, James focuses on helping patients regain a sense of purpose and enjoyment in their lives. His caring approach is grounded in supporting each person as they work toward meaningful and sustainable progress.
James attended the University of Akron and Walsh University. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, including fishing, hiking, and relaxing in a hammock. He is also a devoted Buckeyes and Browns fan who enjoys the excitement of fall sports.
