Lindsay completed her Masters of Nursing in the Family Nurse Practitioner program at Georgetown University and her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Florida State University. She also holds a Bachelor of Nursing from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Prior to practicing at LifeStance Health, Lindsay worked in urgent care. She maintains national certification with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Credentialing Center, and state certification with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. Lindsay has a specific interest in helping women reach their full mental and physical potential.

Lindsay and her family live in Norman. She enjoys reading, shopping and horseback riding.

After years of struggling with anxiety I finally decided to seek help with a mental health professional instead of my primary care provider. It’s a night and day difference. I’ve never felt more heard and understood in my life. A very in-depth appointment and history led to a treatment plan that I actually think is going to work for me and if for some reason it doesn’t, there are other options that I did not know about. My provider at Lifestance was compassionate, educated, kind, listened, and I could tell she wholeheartedly is here for my well-being. I look forward to getting my anxiety under control and am so thankful I found Lifestance, I really feel good about it!

I've been fortunate in meeting Lindsay Gavit several years ago. Her wealth of knowledge no longer surprises me because for years she has fluently discussed and explained medications, body systems, current physical and psychological topics, etc in an intelligent, meaningful, and insightful way. I see several specialists for a variety of concerns and none of them tie things together in useful ways like she does. She is highly professional but also very approachable. I always leave feeling heard, understood, and equipped with information and tools. I will continue to see her and benefit from her expertise.

My provider has seen me through crises. She has listened to how my symptoms affect my life…and what I want from my life…in determining my treatment plan. She looks at me holistically and checks labs regularly. Not only does she treat symptoms, she also offers preventative and evidence based lifestyle/wellness strategies to augment my plan of care. Most of all, I’ve grown to trust her. I couldn’t ask for much more for mental health care.

Lindsay is seriously the best! She doesn't sugar coat anything and she's real. She tells you what's going on and the things you need to do to if changes need to be made. I believe she genuinely cares about your well-being and she's not going to let you make excuses, she asks you what can we do to fix it, and she holds you accountable. Thanks, Lindsay!

Lindsey Gavit has been a blessing to me, she has helped with my thyroid issues and Vit. Deficiency issues that were not even discovered until seeing her. She takes the time to truly listen and follows up to see how I’m doing when meds are changed/adjusted. Very knowledgeable and explains in detail lab results, because one size doesn’t fit all.
