Rachael Touma is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including 6 years in advanced clinical practice. Her background includes hands-on experience in acute and residential inpatient psychiatric care, where she has worked with individuals of all ages. Today, her passion and clinical focus center on supporting adult women—especially those between the ages of 25 and 50—who are navigating the often invisible weight of motherhood, marriage, and identity.
Rachael understands that motherhood can be both meaningful and mentally exhausting. She works with women who appear to “have it all together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or emotionally depleted on the inside. Whether they’re facing the challenges of postpartum adjustment, identity loss, relationship strain, or the mental load of caregiving, Rachael offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to process the complexity of it all. She also supports women in marriages where communication, connection, or support may be missing—helping them find clarity, strength, and direction.
Her clinical expertise includes treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, and personality disorders. As part of her treatment approach, Rachael offers medication management, brief supportive therapy, and pharmacogenetic testing to guide individualized care. She believes in meeting each patient where they are and tailoring treatment to align with their values, biology, and personal goals.
Rachael is also a proud LGBTQ+ affirming provider, committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all individuals and families. Her practice is grounded in respect, compassion, and a deep understanding of the mental health challenges that can affect every stage of a woman’s life.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a psychiatric specialty from the University of South Alabama and holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She also proudly holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Northeastern State University. This diverse educational background allows her to empower patients with the knowledge and confidence they need to take charge of their mental health journey.
