Shannon Duvall, MSN, PMHNP,
About Shannon Duvall (She/Her)
Shannon Duvall helps teens, adults, and older adults find relief from mental health symptoms through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care and medication management. As a provider with LifeStance Health, she serves patients across Texas who are seeking support for conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD. Shannon believes that effective treatment begins with listening to each individual’s story, understanding their goals, and developing a personalized plan that promotes lasting wellness and improved quality of life. With experience treating a broad range of mental health conditions, Shannon works closely with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder while also providing care for concerns such as trauma, sleep difficulties, substance use issues, and ADHD. She recognizes that mental health challenges can affect every aspect of life, from relationships and work performance to physical health and overall well-being. Her approach emphasizes collaboration, education, and practical solutions that help patients feel informed and empowered throughout their treatment journey. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, Shannon provides medication management while incorporating principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support healthier thinking patterns and coping skills. She understands that treatment is not one-size-fits-all and works with each patient to develop an individualized approach that aligns with their needs, preferences, and long-term goals. Shannon is committed to creating a supportive, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing sensitive concerns. She enjoys helping adolescents navigate the unique challenges of the teen years while also supporting adults through life transitions, stressors, and ongoing mental health needs. Her goal is to help patients build stability, resilience, and confidence as they work toward emotional wellness. She earned her education through Walden University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Weatherford College, and Sam Houston State University. Since beginning her practice in 2019, she has remained dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys reading, baking, traveling, discovering new restaurants and foods, and spending quality time with her husband and dogs. These interests help her maintain balance and bring authenticity and warmth to her work with patients.
