With a deep commitment to lifelong emotional wellness, Achieng Carmouche, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is passionate about supporting clients on their journey to better mental health. Achieng approaches counseling in a warm, holistic, and collaborative manner, encouraging you to actively engage in your treatment. Achieng will collaborate with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that combines evidence-based practices, supportive psychotherapy, and, when needed, medication management – all tailored to your unique needs.

Achieng brings over 26 years of nursing experience, including work in critical care and psychiatric settings, to her role as a psychiatric provider. She is proud to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University, with board certification to treat individuals across the lifespan. Staying current with advancements in the field is a priority for Achieng, which is why she is an active member of the Neuroscience Education Institute and the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.

Outside of work, Achieng finds joy in curling up with a good book, exploring the outdoors, and spending quality time with family. Traveling and experiencing new cultures also enriches her life and broadens her perspective, helping her connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
