Psychiatry in Chesapeake, Virginia Elise Gallie, Nurse Practitioner

Elise Gallie is a certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University. While a master’s student at EKU, Elise earned the honor of being inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and graduated with magna cum laude distinction. Before pursuing her career as a nurse practitioner, she has spent seven years working in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings as a floor nurse and nurse manager. She has served both adults and adolescents/children with varying psychiatric illnesses across many state lines. Elise has lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Missouri, and Virginia while always working in the mental health field she has always been passionate about. Elise understands that there is no broad-spectrum approach to treatment and will work diligently to meet the needs of her clients to ensure a safe, holistic, and healing encounter. Elise understands the anxiety that may occur with first-time encounters/visits, and hopes that her open mindedness, active listening, and wiliness to meet the needs of her patients will put your mind at ease. Elise is experienced in caring for Anxiety, Panic, Major Depression, OCD, Bipolar and ADHD disorders. Elise is happy to finally call Virginia, “home” and lives here with her husband and Australian cattle dog, Lincoln. She spends her free time traveling, visiting old friends, being a plant mom and spending time at the shore.
