About Rachel Madera-Arnold (She/Her)

Rachel Madera-Arnold helps teens and adults across Maryland gain a clearer understanding of themselves, improve emotional well-being, and develop practical tools for lasting change. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth. Rachel works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns, while also offering additional support for a range of mental health needs. Rachel is especially passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, strengthen relationships through couples therapy, and gain clarity through autism and ADHD assessment. She recognizes that many people have spent years feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or uncertain about why certain experiences seem more difficult. Through thoughtful evaluation and therapeutic support, she helps clients better understand their unique strengths and challenges while creating actionable strategies for success. For couples, she focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping partners break unproductive patterns that may be keeping them stuck. Her approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs and goals. Rachel utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and couples or marital counseling. She also provides psychological testing and assessment services. Rachel has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, military service members and veterans, as well as other diverse client populations. Rachel treats teens and adults, helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional challenges, and questions related to neurodiversity. She believes therapy can be a powerful space for insight, healing, and creating sustainable change. Her goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and equipped with the tools needed to thrive both now and in the future. Outside of her clinical work, Rachel enjoys reading fantasy novels, working on puzzles, and tackling DIY projects around her home. These interests reflect her curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for problem-solving, qualities she brings into her therapeutic work. Serving clients throughout Maryland through LifeStance Health, Rachel welcomes individuals and couples seeking support, understanding, and practical solutions for life’s challenges.
