Andrew Min, MD, is a compassionate and dedicated psychiatrist at LifeStance Health, serving patients across California. With residency training in both psychiatry and internal medicine, and over a decade of experience beyond residency, Dr. Min takes a comprehensive and individualized approach to mental health care. He recognizes that multiple factors can influence mental well-being and works closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans that foster growth, resilience, and long-term stability.

Dr. Min specializes in treating ADHD, anxiety, sleep disorders, and stress management through a combination of medication management and evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and CBT for Insomnia. His approach integrates therapeutic techniques within sessions, often likened to a life-coaching style by his patients. He believes that while medication can help “calm the storm,” psychotherapy provides the tools needed to “row back to shore.” With patience, practice, and repetition, he empowers patients to develop lasting skills for overcoming challenges.

Beyond symptom management, Dr. Min prioritizes a holistic view of each patient’s unique journey, advocating for trust, respect, and individualized care. He ensures that every patient has options and the freedom to choose the treatment path that best suits their needs. His approach fosters a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take control of their mental health.

Dr. Min’s medical training reflects his dedication to comprehensive patient care. He completed his Psychiatry Residency at Kaiser Fontana Medical Center in 2024 and his Internal Medicine Residency at Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center in 2009. He earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2006 and his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 2002.

Although passionate about all aspects of mental health, Dr. Min does not treat high-acuity crisis cases, or disability/FMLA/workers’ compensation cases.

Born and raised in California, Dr. Min values the state’s rich diversity, great food, and natural beauty—elements that inspire his inclusive and empathetic practice. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking, playing sports, engaging in board and video games, and watching reality shows. These personal interests reflect his commitment to balance and well-being, values he integrates into his work with patients.

Got into my appointment 10 minutes ahead of time and the staff roomed me and I was seen by him at the exact appointment time :) I did my research beforehand and learned that each appointment at Kaiser was 20 minutes long until the next patient was seen. So I knew I had to be speedy since he had to listen to me, order what he needed to, and do his documentation. So I had my 2 questions set up for him about my blood pressure and cholesterol. He listened to me carefully and answered my question
