Dr. Murillo provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to identify diagnoses and contributing factors affecting each patient’s mental health. He develops individualized treatment plans and incorporates psychotherapy techniques into every visit to optimally address symptoms and improve overall functioning. He approaches each case with a collaborative, team-based mentality, actively involving patients and, when appropriate, parents or caregivers throughout the treatment process.

In addition, Dr. Murillo has a strong passion for helping individuals who have not responded adequately to traditional medication treatments. This interest has led him to explore and incorporate alternative and advanced treatment modalities, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Electroconvulsive Therapy, and Spravato. Currently, he is actively assisting in the initiation and coordination of Spravato treatment for patients in the Orlando area, expanding access to innovative care for treatment-resistant conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Murillo is a passionate basketball enthusiast and enjoys playing golf, cooking, and watching movies.

Dr. Murillo is one of the most caring psychiatrists you will ever meet. He is not your usual here’s your diagnosis, take these pills, see you in a month. He cares. He listens. He understands. While his job is to assist in the clinician portion. He thinks outside the box, he does not just give you the standard pills if he feels after listening it’s not a good choice. Mental Health meds are very challenging to find the right one and Dr. Murillo’s changes have been 95% right. While it can be uncomfortable he stands his ground as a clinician which is key in the mental health journey. He is younger, real, warm-hearted, caring and will think before prescribing and that is what success looks like for a psychiatrist. He is someone you can trust with your mental well-being. His schedule is very tight so I know I am not the only one who trusts him.

My children see Dr Murillo and he is very knowledgeable, kind, caring, and genuinely concerned for their mental health and wellbeing. He always talks to them and makes them apart of the discussion and any decisions regarding their care. He values all of our opinions. He is joyful and excited when they make progress and encouraging when they haven’t. He is an amazing asset to Lifestance and my family.
