About Hiba Abualama (She/Her)
Dr. Hiba Abualama helps adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Kansas improve their mental health through compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care at LifeStance Health. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and additional mental health concerns.
Dr. Abualama is particularly passionate about supporting individuals experiencing psychosis and schizophrenia, including those with treatment-resistant symptoms. She has experience with clozapine management and works collaboratively with patients to create personalized treatment plans that promote stability, symptom improvement, and long-term wellness.
Her approach emphasizes careful assessment, shared decision-making, and creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. She also offers Spravato® (esketamine) treatment when clinically appropriate and serves diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals and military veterans.
Dr. Abualama completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, biking, traveling, and staying active.
