Meriam Naqvi, MD,
About Meriam Naqvi (She/Her)
At LifeStance Health, Meriam Naqvi, MD, helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults navigate emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges through thoughtful psychiatric care and medication management. Serving patients throughout Pennsylvania, Dr. Naqvi is committed to creating a supportive environment where individuals and families feel heard, understood, and empowered in their treatment journey. As a psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent mental health, Dr. Naqvi works with patients experiencing ADHD, anxiety, and depression, while also providing care for a wide range of other conditions. She understands that each patient’s experiences, strengths, and challenges are unique and takes an individualized approach to treatment. By partnering closely with patients and their families, she helps develop practical, evidence-based strategies that support long-term growth, resilience, and emotional well-being. Dr. Naqvi is particularly passionate about child and adolescent psychiatry and supporting young people through critical developmental stages. She enjoys helping children and teens facing childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, and emotional difficulties build the skills and confidence needed to succeed at home, in school, and in their relationships. Her experience also includes working with individuals from adoption and foster care backgrounds, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental disabilities. In her practice, she incorporates interventions such as mindfulness techniques and parenting skills support when appropriate, while offering additional services tailored to each patient’s needs. Dr. Naqvi earned her Doctor of Medicine from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and her Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University. She completed her general psychiatry residency at Riverside University Health System and went on to complete a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Penn State Health. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Naqvi enjoys baking, ceramics, and spending time playing with her cat. These creative pursuits help her maintain balance and bring a sense of curiosity and compassion to her work with patients.
