I am a Board Certified Adult and Forensic Psychiatrist and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. I have experience in the treatment of all mental health conditions including psychotic disorders (schizophrenia and delusional disorder), mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders, addiction disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD and personality disorders and a particular expertise in performing forensic evaluations (e.g., conservatorship, guardianship, testamentary capacity, fitness for duty, worker’s compensation, sexual harassment, medical malpractice). I perform thorough diagnostic assessments and when appropriate, I coordinate your care with your primary care doctor and other sub-specialists. My treatment recommendations are individualized based on your unique background and presentation and can include medications, therapy and lifestyle changes. I completed my psychiatry residency and forensic fellowship training at Saint Elizabeths Hospital in Washington DC. I have served and continue to serve on the Board of Directors of the Washington Psychiatric Society and the Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society, in the American Psychiatric Association’s Assembly and on multiple committees in the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. In this positions I am able to see the larger picture of mental health and the benefits of organized psychiatry and advocate for changes in our mental health community.
