I have been a LifeStance patient since 2020, and my experience has been nothing short of incredible. I started my journey with LifeStance in Portland, and when I moved to Northern Virginia, I knew I wanted to continue my care with them. Under the care of Alexander Kanaan, my mental health has improved tremendously (like a few hundred times). He is an incredible, thoughtful, and intuitive provider (qualities that I find rare). His regular check-ins, thoughtful questions, and ability to listen without judgment have made all the difference in my journey. One of the things I appreciate most about him is that when I’m struggling or a medication isn’t working for me, he truly listens and trusts my experience rather than questioning my judgment. That level of understanding and respect means so much. I’m grateful to have found an inclusive, safe, and non-judgmental space where I can access the mental health care I need.

As someone who resisted therapy for the longest time, meeting with my therapist has absolutely changed my life. She meets me where I am, and if I need to cry the entire hour, that’s ok! With everything I’m facing at this moment in my life, I know that therapy is playing a vital part in my healing. LifeStance has been amazing to work with as well!

Dr. Alan Peh helped me safely taper my medication and was kind, patient, and easy to talk to. I feel so much better now after stopping the medication with his help. He also helped me find a new therapist. I felt listened to and supported the whole time. Highly recommend 👍 Thank you so much, Dr. Alan Peh!

LifeStance is professional and friendly. I recently moved to the area and needed a new psychiatrist. The receptionist on the phone was very nice and helpful in setting me up. The online portal is easily accessible and updated. Dr. Sullivan made my feelings feel seen and acknowledged. She was attentive and kind.

I have been seeing a therapist at Lifestance health and I see a great change in my mood, stress level, behavior and overall personality. As I noticed these changes to my health, I am going to continue with therapy and I recommend to see Lifestance health if you believe you need medical assistance.

I don’t usually write reviews, but felt like I should here. First time using insurance outside the VA and setting up a video visit was super easy. Dr. Alan Peh was great — very genuine, down to earth, and explained everything clearly. Made the whole process really comfortable.
