About Morgan Cirket (He/Him)

Dr. Morgan Cirket provides a caring, holistic approach tailored to the unique abilities and experiences of the client. He has over thirty years years experience providing mental health services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, for private, community, and State government agencies. He provides services that encompass all major categories of mental health challenge including mood disorders, personality disorders, psychosis, and substance abuse. Difficulties addressed in therapy often include relationship problems, life transitions, self-esteem issues, depression, motivation, anxiety, substance abuse, psychological trauma, anger management, and post-traumatic stress.

Dr. Cirket’s clinical and supervisory experience includes serving as Program Director of one of San Diego’s largest (125 bed) residential drug and alcohol treatment facilities; he also served as Clinical Supervisor for methadone clinics and programs; he has trained Navy substance abuse counselors; and has provided mental health services associated with the fields of law enforcement and criminal justice. He completed his postdoctoral fellowship and training at Scripps-Mercy hospital in San Diego.

Dr. Cirket’s clinical approach is to help the client find balance and personal meaning in their lives depending on their individual needs. Although he does not subscribe to a particular theoretical orientation, his therapies often incorporate some combination of Humanistic, Existential, Developmental and Cognitive-Behavioral approaches.

Dr. Cirket’s background, prior to becoming a psychologist, includes engineering, SCUBA product design, and private business. He finds balance through art and music expression and enjoys outdoor activities.
