Dr. Erin Haven believes that relationships are central to the human experience. Our early interactions – combined with our biology and learning experiences – set the foundation for how we view ourselves and the world. And while those early relationships and experiences shape us, they do not have to define us. Sometimes we need someone to support us in better understanding ourselves and reaching our goals, such as addressing trauma; learning more effective coping strategies for managing overwhelming emotions; improving relationships; overcoming roadblocks to educational and vocational success; increasing self-esteem; or creating a sense of direction and purpose in life. She finds it rewarding to support youth and young adults (ages 6-24) as they develop their identity and foster independence.

Erin received her PhD in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University and completed her internship at Prairie View, Inc and University of Kansas and postdoctoral fellowship at Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families. She enjoys working with varied clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, emotional and/or behavioral dysregulation, social difficulties, trauma, self-injury, educational/vocational challenges, and parent-child relational problems. Although she believes it is important to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual, she often incorporates evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT).
