Matthew Goodnow helps teens and adults across Massachusetts build practical skills to manage anxiety, ADHD, depression, and life stressors through compassionate, evidence-based therapy at LifeStance Health. He works collaboratively with patients to create a supportive and goal-oriented therapeutic experience that encourages growth, resilience, and lasting emotional wellness. Matthew provides individual and group therapy for adolescents, young adults, and adults navigating challenges related to mood, focus, motivation, relationships, and everyday functioning.

Matthew has a strong clinical focus on ADHD and executive functioning challenges, particularly for teens and young adults balancing academic, professional, and personal responsibilities. He understands how difficulties with organization, time management, emotional regulation, and concentration can impact confidence and daily life. Using practical strategies and structured support, he helps patients strengthen coping skills, improve routines, and develop healthier patterns that support long-term success.

His therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and parenting skills support when appropriate. Matthew also works with individuals experiencing anxiety, grief, sleep difficulties, and men’s mental health concerns, while offering additional support for a range of emotional and behavioral needs. He has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, creating an affirming environment where patients feel respected and understood.

Since beginning his clinical practice in 2021, Matthew has remained committed to helping patients better understand themselves and make meaningful progress toward their goals. He earned his education through William James College and Union College, where he developed a strong foundation in psychological assessment, therapeutic interventions, and patient-centered care.

Outside of his clinical work, Matthew enjoys playing tennis, watching sports, reading, and spending time with his wife and son. These interests help him stay grounded and bring balance to both his professional and personal life.

Matthew Goodnow provides therapy services for teens and adults throughout Massachusetts through LifeStance Health.
