Dr. Christina Fazio is a clinical psychologist, who has been practicing since 2015. She graduated from Adler University’s Chicago campus with a doctorate degree in clinical psychology and specialized in child and adolescent mental health. Christina’s main focus includes treating anxiety and depression among children, youth, and young adults. She is also passionate about working with individuals with complex family systems and histories of trauma. Christina gravitates toward contextual and integrative approaches that enable children, youth, and young adults to discover their hidden strengths, gain mastery over their experience, and develop a cohesive identity that empowers them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential. She approaches treatment from a developmental lens and tailors treatment to the unique strengths and clinical needs of each client. Christina utilizes classic and new wave cognitive behavioral interventions (ACT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing) to guide clients toward new insights and skills that prepare them to cope effectively, strengthen communication and relationships, and identify and implement actions consistent with their values and life goals. In her spare time, Christina enjoys exploring new cultures and communities, creating various forms of art, and browsing the shelves of used bookstores.
