Louis Muggeo, PhD, PsyD, Psychologist in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey

Dr. Louis Muggeo is a Psychologist in New Jersey who has been practicing for over 20 years. He has a Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology and holds active licenses to practice in NJ, NY, PA, and NC. In addition, he is a member of the National Register of Health Services Psychologist and can provide telehealth services (through PSYPACT) to patients in most states. Dr. Muggeo has worked as a clinical psychologist in a variety of in-patient and out-patient settings as both an administrator and practitioner. In addition, he has held several adjunct graduate and undergraduate teaching positions, a psychology lecture position, and has provided clinical supervision for new clinicians.  Dr. Muggeo conducts psychotherapy and psychological testing and assessment.  His approach to psychotherapy is to encourage the development of adaptive coping strategies so that patients may lead productive and fulfilling lives. He takes an active approach utilizing empirically focused interventions to help facilitate meaningful behavior change. Dr. Muggeo’s goal is not only symptom reduction but also assisting patients take control and responsibility for their mental health and other aspects of their lives. His psychological evaluations are pragmatic and focus not only on establishing diagnostic clarity but formulating effective and practical recommendations that may inform treatment.  Outside of work, Dr. Muggeo enjoys spending time with family, reading, motorcycle riding, and playing the guitar.
