Dr. Meera Khan (she/her) is a South Asian cisgender woman. She received her B.A. from Rutgers University and her M.A. and Psy.D. from La Salle University in clinical psychology. She is a member of PSYPACT and can provide telemedicine in at least 32 states. Dr. Khan is committed to applying third wave CBT practices such as principals of ACT, DBT and Mindfulness-based CBT to her clinical practice. Dr. Khan specializes in treating chronic and intermittent suicidality, anxiety disorders, OCD and OC-spectrum disorders, borderline personality disorder, adjustment disorders, racial and immigration trauma, and PTSD and other trauma disorders. Dr. Khan has a specific passion for working with adolescents and emerging adults (ages 12-35), within the LGBTQIA+, and the South Asian community to increase access and destigmatize mental health care.

Dr. Khan believes that an individual’s story is shaped through their lived experiences, motivations, accessibility, and aspirations, as well as influenced by their history and identity. She believes in a person-centered philosophy in her treatment, and leans into concepts of mindfulness, personal values, acceptance, psychological flexibility, nonjudgmental curiosity, and spirituality in the treatment of the individual.

To that end, Dr. Khan is dedicated to a client-focused approach as well as to dismantling the stigma of mental health, specifically as it applies to ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities. Dr. Khan strives to create inclusive, safe, welcoming, and culturally aware environments for all to feel understood, accepted, vulnerable and trusting. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing fiction, playing video games, cooking or baking, and spending time with her loved ones.
