About Jeeva Babu

Whether you’re navigating trauma, managing symptoms of anxiety or depression, or facing major life transitions, Dr. Jeeva Babu provides a compassionate and clinically grounded space for healing and growth. Serving adolescents, teens, adults, and seniors across Texas, Dr. Babu works collaboratively with each client to process painful experiences in a way that is both empowering and deeply respectful of personal and cultural context. Her trauma-informed care helps individuals rebuild trust, increase emotional safety, and move toward meaningful, lasting change. Dr. Babu specializes in supporting individuals impacted by trauma, PTSD, and complex histories of exploitation, including survivors of sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other forms of interpersonal harm. In addition to trauma work, she is experienced in treating depression, anxiety, and psychosis, and offers therapy for clients managing serious mental illness. Her approach is person-centered and tailored, drawing from evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while integrating mindfulness and cultural responsiveness. Dr. Babu is particularly passionate about working with individuals facing grief, reproductive challenges, and postpartum depression and anxiety. She creates space for the unique emotional and psychological impact these experiences carry, offering support grounded in warmth, clinical skill, and respect for each client’s values. Her therapeutic lens is inclusive, affirming, and especially attuned to the nuances of identity, faith, and family roles. In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Babu offers couples and family therapy, as well as psychological testing services. She works with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, those in foster or adoption settings, first responders, and military veterans. She also speaks Hindi and Tamil, further supporting clients from multilingual or multicultural households across Texas. Outside of clinical work, Dr. Babu enjoys dancing, playing pickleball and volleyball, and finding joy in competitive games like mini-golf and laser tag. A fan of the performing arts and vintage treasures, she’s often exploring Houston’s cultural events and cozy coffee shops. She recently developed a surprising enthusiasm for American football and has a long-standing fondness for turtles.
