“Process the past so you can have room to bloom.”

Life is full of transition, which can be challenging but with the support of a compassionate therapist, I believe that you can find your own unique strengths to overcome obstacles to achieve your goals. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a registered art therapist who uses systems/solutions focused approach to guide you through unique, tailored interventions to build insight into problematic patterns and explore solutions to build self-awareness, improve communication and make progress through life’s transitions. I am creative and can combine art materials (drawing, painting, journaling, etc.) to the therapeutic process to facilitate healing. I believe that therapy is a dynamic, relational process that involves collaboration and positive consistent support to provide a corrective emotional experience.

I received my undergraduate degree in Fine Art at University of California Santa Barbara and my Master’s in Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy and Art Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. I specialize in working with family of origin issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, personality disorders, grief/loss, trauma-stressor related disorders, co-occurring disorders, family conflict, relational issues, domestic violence and foster care/adoption. I have over 15 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, transitional age youth and families. I have experience working in outpatient clinics, at K-12 schools, a domestic violence transitional shelter, children/adolescent group homes and in intensive community wrap around mental health programs. I combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques to help you build resiliency, and learn new coping skills to navigate life’s journey.
