About Teresa Lowe (She/Her)

As a Board Certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I often ask clients is your anxiety and depression taking the joy out of living each day? We are all living in times that are critical and hard to deal with, whether it is financial, health related issues, negative feelings about ourselves or family and relationship problems. I provide a holistic, integrative and collaborative approach through evidence-based practices in addressing and treating issues related to trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, family and couple concerns.

When we deal with challenges, it can be a difficult undertaking. My approach is to allow you the therapeutic space to be seen, heard, and acquire a sense of belonging. I rely on you as being the expert as I offer guidance.

My experience ranges from an Intensive Outpatient Treatment program, working with military families and their children, first responders, substance abuse disorders, domestic violence, and trauma related stress and depression. I work with all ages with specialization in working with children through play and recreational therapy. My undergraduate background is recreational and play therapy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University with an emphasis on Integrative Family Systems.

Practice emphasis on trauma informed and EMDR therapy

See what our patients are saying about Teresa Lowe

I've previously provided my five-star appreciation of therapy I receive from Teresa Lowe. My satisfaction persists! I've been prompted to express my opinion of my Lifestance booking experience, which is also agreeable. Teresa is always happy to personally schedule our sessions in advance, and it's also quite easy to search and select available appointments using the patient portal. I don't think you can *cancel* appointments online -- I may be mistaken about this -- but you can cancel over the phone and without a fee given customary advance notice. I'm pleased with all of my Lifestance experiences!

I’ve had a wonderful experience with Teresa. She is very good at what she does. Patient, kind, always making sure I’m comfortable with the process. I can tell she enjoys what she does because she loves people and wants to help them. I have no doubt about her ability to improve anyone’s situation to some degree. I felt that I was at optimum operating level, considering what I’ve been through, prior to visiting her. I was wrong. She has helped me to improve my situation in a relatively short amount of time. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to heal from various types of trauma.
