Teresa Lowe, MA, LMFT
Specializes In:
As a Board Certified Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I often ask clients is your anxiety and depression taking the joy out of living each day? We are all living in times that are critical and hard to deal with, whether it is financial, health related issues, negative feelings about ourselves or family and relationship problems. I provide a holistic, integrative and collaborative approach through evidence-based practices in addressing and treating issues related to trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, family and couple concerns.
When we deal with challenges, it can be a difficult undertaking. My approach is to allow you the therapeutic space to be seen, heard, and acquire a sense of belonging. I rely on you as being the expert as I offer guidance.
My experience ranges from an Intensive Outpatient Treatment program, working with military families and their children, first responders, substance abuse disorders, domestic violence, and trauma related stress and depression. I work with all ages with specialization in working with children through play and recreational therapy. My undergraduate background is recreational and play therapy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University with an emphasis on Integrative Family Systems.
Practice emphasis on trauma informed and EMDR therapy
