Sophia Norheim, LMFT, is dedicated to helping adults across California navigate life’s challenges and achieve emotional well-being. Through a collaborative and humanistic-driven approach, Sophia creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel empowered to process their experiences, confront obstacles, challenge stagnation, and embrace growth. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, or life transitions, she tailors her care to meet the unique needs of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Sophia’s commitment to authenticity, safety, and acceptance allows her clients to explore and heal in an environment built on trust and understanding.

Sophia specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, as well as relational challenges through compassionate care to those facing complex emotional struggles. By integrating evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Sophia equips her clients with tools to manage symptoms and build resilience outside of the therapy room. Her practice also incorporates inner child work, mindfulness, and somatic body healing techniques, providing a holistic approach to mental health.

Sophia is passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and clients who are navigating the stressors of developing identity and independence. Her therapeutic methods foster self-awareness and growth, empowering clients to develop skills that enhance their overall quality of life.

Outside of her professional work, Sophia enjoys staying active through hiking and Orange Theory workouts. She cherishes time with her partner and their trio of rescue rabbits. In her downtime, she finds joy in watching Bob‘s Burgers, embracing humor and relaxation as part of her personal self-care routine.
