Walker DeWitt is a Licensed MFT with over 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, both individually and in group settings. Walker is originally from Northern California and moved to San Diego in 2000. As an undergrad, Walker was a scholarship athlete who played wide receiver for the Boise State Broncos and the Chico State Wildcats. Walker started in the field as a Child Care Worker, working his way up to managing several contracted programs within San Diego. Walker believes that cognitive/behavioral and solution focused work is essential in helping individuals stabilize, challenge themselves, and become more productive members of their community.

For parents/families seeking help for their child/children: Walker delivers an approach that promotes structure and routine with children and families. This involves setting up systems of rewards and consequences coupled with strength based language. Parents must be willing to set limits, take feedback and will be required to be active participants in the therapeutic process.
