Janet Lori Clark-Skillings is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and couples. Lori got her undergraduate degree in psychology from UC Irvine and her master’s degree in counseling from San Diego State University in 1992.

Lori uses a family systems therapy approach to working with children, couples and families and also uses cognitive behavior techniques and behavioral interventions when working with children and adolescents. She has worked in a variety of settings including schools, outpatient clinics, hospitals, residential, and day treatment programs, thereby giving her a wealth of experience in diagnosing and treating many kinds of problems.

Lori’s specialty areas include childhood and adolescent disorders (ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and mood disorders), blended family issues, adult disorders including relationship issues, anxiety, and depressed mood and Christian counseling.

She loves helping people to solve their problems in a way that is focused on their strengths, helps to grow an understanding of how and why to make changes and does so with humor and encouragement.
