Lana Talampas, LMFT, provides compassionate, effective therapy to young adults, adults, and seniors across California. She creates a supportive space where clients can make sense of their inner experiences and move toward creating the lives they want to lead. Whether navigating identity exploration, healing from trauma, or managing anxiety and depression, Lana tailors her approach using evidence-based interventions to meet each client’s unique needs.

Lana brings both clinical expertise and lived understanding to her work, especially with LGBTQ+ communities, ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, and individuals in high-stress professions such as the military and first response. She has extensive experience working with trauma and PTSD and is especially passionate about helping clients navigate the impact of trauma on intimacy, sexuality, and their relationship to their own body. As a first-generation therapist, she is deeply attuned to the pressures, responsibilities, and identity conflicts that arise from navigating higher education, the complexities of acculturation, and breaking intergenerational patterns.

Utilizing a blend of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, as well as self-compassion and mindfulness techniques, Lana helps clients build resilience, deepen self-trust, and move toward meaningful change. She also incorporates Exposure Therapy when appropriate, assisting those struggling with anxiety, PTSD, and phobias. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, empowering clients to take an active role in their healing journey.

Since beginning her practice in 2015, Lana has remained dedicated to ongoing learning and professional growth. She earned her education at San Diego State University and the University of California San Diego, equipping her with a strong foundation in mental health care.

Outside of therapy, Lana finds joy in dancing, singing, and spending time with her 9-year-old Dachshund named Radar, who often joins her on Vespa rides around sunny San Diego. These creative and playful outlets help her stay grounded and balanced.
