Julie Chung, MA, LMFT
Julie Chung, LMFT, helps children, teens, and adults across California better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and move through life challenges with greater confidence and support. As a Marriage and Family Therapist with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for children, adolescents, teens, and adults with navigating concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Julie works collaboratively with each patient and family to create a supportive therapeutic space where individuals can build practical strategies for emotional regulation, communication, and resilience. Julie is especially passionate about supporting families raising children with developmental differences and behavioral challenges. She frequently works with families navigating autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and childhood behavior issues, helping caregivers and children develop tools that support growth at home and in school. Julie also understands the unique emotional needs that can arise within adoption and foster care experiences and works thoughtfully with families to strengthen connection, stability, and confidence. Her goal is to help children and families feel better understood while developing skills that promote long-term wellbeing. Her therapeutic approach blends evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices. Julie also incorporates parenting skills and family-centered strategies that empower caregivers while supporting healthy emotional development for children and teens. By tailoring treatment to everyone’s needs, she helps patients build practical tools for managing anxiety, improving focus, and navigating life transitions. Julie earned her education from the University of California, Berkeley, and Pepperdine University and began practicing in 2023. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys hands-on creative activities such as crocheting, sewing, and baking.
