Brenda Sampson, MA, LPCC,
About Brenda Sampson (She/Her)
Brenda Sampson helps teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based mental health care. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients throughout Colorado who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. Brenda believes meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and works alongside patients to help them develop practical tools for healing, resilience, and personal growth. Brenda is especially experienced in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She understands that mental health concerns can affect every aspect of a person’s life, from relationships and career performance to self-esteem and overall well-being. Her approach is tailored to each patient’s unique needs, creating a supportive environment where they can safely explore challenges, identify strengths, and move toward their goals. In addition to these areas, she supports patients facing ADHD, grief, life transitions, and other mental health conditions. She has experience working with diverse populations, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and individuals on the autism spectrum. Brenda also works with teens, adults, and seniors experiencing concerns such as school avoidance, postpartum depression and anxiety, insomnia, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others. When appropriate, she offers psychological testing as part of her comprehensive approach to care. Brenda utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while incorporating additional therapeutic approaches based on each patient’s needs. Her style is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and respect, helping patients build insight while developing effective strategies for lasting emotional wellness. Outside of her clinical work, Brenda enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. She recharges through hiking, horseback riding, skiing, boating, exploring new places, watching movies, and sharing time with friends and loved ones. She is also passionate about spending time with her two dogs and often includes them in outdoor adventures, especially while exploring Colorado’s mountains and scenic trails.
