Jacob Bergstrom is dedicated to helping adults and seniors across Colorado navigate life’s challenges with compassion and expertise. He provides a safe, affirming space where individuals can explore their experiences, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful change. Jacob offers both individual therapy and family therapy, tailoring treatment to meet each person’s unique needs. He supports clients facing a wide range of concerns, with a focus on anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as challenges related to identity, relationships, and personal growth. Jacob is especially passionate about supporting individuals struggling with substance use concerns and members of the LGBTQ+ community. With an extensive background in alcohol and drug use issues and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals, he takes a holistic approach that integrates both evidence-based practices and an empathetic perspective. His goal is to help clients build resilience, embrace their identities, and find healthier ways to navigate difficulties. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, and family therapy interventions, Jacob equips his clients with practical tools to better manage stress, regulate emotions, and improve communication. He also offers support for those coping with grief, men’s issues, bipolar disorder, and ADHD, and welcomes clients from diverse backgrounds, including those with developmental disabilities. Outside of his professional life, Jacob has called Denver home since 2017. He enjoys skiing, camping, hiking, biking, and other mountain adventures that connect him with Colorado’s natural beauty. He is also an active member of the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus, a proud uncle to eight nieces and nephews, and loves diving into a great book or TV series.
