Nicole Aussin helps teens and adults make meaningful, lasting changes by addressing emotional distress, relationship challenges, and complex behavioral health needs through compassionate psychotherapy across Colorado. Practicing at LifeStance Health, she serves teens and adults throughout CO who are seeking structured, supportive mental health care for concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma, while working toward greater stability and personal growth. Nicole provides individual, couples, and family therapy with a clinical focus on anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD/trauma. Her work is grounded in evidence-based care, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help patients regulate emotions, change unhelpful patterns, and build healthier coping strategies. She also treats additional behavioral health concerns, tailoring treatment to each patient’s goals, responsibilities, and life circumstances. A central passion in Nicole’s practice is providing court ordered treatment. She brings a balanced, respectful approach to this work, helping individuals meet legal or system-related requirements while still receiving meaningful therapeutic support. Nicole focuses on accountability, emotional insight, and practical skill-building so patients can make progress that extends beyond compliance and supports long-term wellbeing. Nicole has experience working with diverse populations, including individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and those living with developmental disabilities or head injuries. She integrates an internal family systems–informed perspective when appropriate, supporting patients in understanding internal dynamics, strengthening boundaries, and improving relationships. Outside of her clinical work, Nicole enjoys yoga, reading, and traveling. These interests reflect her belief in mindfulness, curiosity, and balance as important elements of mental health.
