About Wayne South (He/Him)
Wayne South helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate mental health challenges with empathy, curiosity, and evidence-based care. At LifeStance Health, he provides individual therapy for patients throughout Colorado, supporting those who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other emotional or behavioral concerns. Wayne believes that every person has unique strengths and experiences, and he works collaboratively with clients to develop practical skills that promote resilience, healing, and lasting growth. Wayne enjoys working with individuals who may feel misunderstood, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns that interfere with their quality of life. He has experience supporting clients facing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also helping people manage a variety of additional mental health concerns. He is committed to creating a welcoming, affirming environment where clients feel safe exploring challenges, building self-awareness, and developing meaningful strategies for change. Wayne also works with a diverse range of populations, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those involved in adoption or foster care experiences. His therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Wayne tailors treatment to the needs of each individual and recognizes that successful therapy requires both clinical expertise and genuine human connection. Whether a client is navigating school avoidance, life transitions, grief, or the impact of ongoing stress, he focuses on helping them move toward greater emotional balance and personal fulfillment. Wayne earned degrees from the University of Northern Colorado, Regis University, and Colorado Christian University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate, he is dedicated to expanding his clinical knowledge while providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care. Outside of the therapy office, Wayne enjoys swimming, camping, hiking, cooking, reading, tabletop role-playing games, board games, and video games. These interests reflect his appreciation for exploration, creativity, lifelong learning, and meaningful connection with others.
