Sophie Atwood, Therapist

Sophie Atwood, M.S, LPC

Helping patients across Colorado navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and emotional well-being, Sophie Atwood provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive environment where individuals and families can explore concerns, build practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful personal growth. Sophie works with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also offering support for additional emotional and behavioral challenges. One area Sophie is especially passionate about is helping individuals and families involved in court-ordered treatment. She understands the unique challenges that can arise when therapy is part of a legal process and strives to create a respectful, collaborative experience that supports accountability, healing, and long-term success. She is also dedicated to helping children and adolescents overcome behavioral concerns, school-related difficulties, and emotional struggles while partnering with caregivers to strengthen family relationships and communication. Sophie uses a personalized treatment approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. She works with diverse populations, including individuals in adoption or foster care settings, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and those with autism spectrum disorders. In addition to her primary specialties, she offers support for a variety of mental health concerns and life transitions. Outside of her clinical work, Sophie enjoys walking, cycling, reading, cooking, baking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She is also passionate about promoting mental health awareness for children and adolescents through educational content, including podcasts and written articles designed to reduce stigma and support caregivers. Sophie earned her education from Walden University and Government Graduate College for Women. She also speaks Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi, allowing her to connect with a broader range of individuals and families seeking care. Through LifeStance Health, she proudly serves patients throughout Colorado with therapy services tailored to their unique needs.
