About Catherine Hughes (She/Her)

Catherine Hughes helps teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical support, and evidence-based mental health treatment. Through LifeStance Health, she serves patients throughout Colorado, providing therapy tailored to each individual’s goals, strengths, and experiences. Catherine works collaboratively with clients experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, and alcohol or drug use issues, helping them develop healthier coping strategies and create meaningful, lasting change. A particular area of passion for Catherine is supporting individuals facing alcohol and drug use issues. She understands that recovery is a personal journey and creates a nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore underlying concerns, build resilience, and strengthen the skills needed to maintain long-term wellness. Her approach emphasizes empowerment, self-awareness, and sustainable progress while addressing the emotional and behavioral factors that can contribute to substance use challenges. Catherine also works with clients navigating depression, bipolar disorder, relationship concerns, grief, life transitions, trauma, and other emotional health challenges. She provides individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient treatment services. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR, as well as additional therapeutic approaches, she tailors treatment to meet the unique needs of each person and situation. Her professional background includes training through National Louis University and the University of Cincinnati. Catherine believes that successful therapy is built on trust, authenticity, and a strong therapeutic partnership. She strives to help clients gain insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward greater emotional well-being and life satisfaction. Outside of her clinical work, Catherine enjoys cooking, bike riding, crafting, and reading. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, balance, and lifelong learning. Whether working with teens facing emotional challenges, adults managing complex mental health concerns, or older adults adjusting to later-life transitions, Catherine is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized care. She proudly serves communities across Colorado through LifeStance Health.
