Michael Vang, Therapist

Michael Vang, MA, LPC, LAC

Michael Vang helps patients across Colorado work through life’s challenges with steady guidance, clinical skill, and a grounded therapeutic presence at LifeStance Health. He supports teens, adults, and seniors, offering a space where individuals and couples can explore concerns with honesty and without judgment. His work is centered on helping people understand themselves more deeply while developing practical tools for lasting emotional and relational health. Michael is especially passionate about supporting individuals facing ADHD, alcohol and drug use issues, anxiety, depression, couples concerns, men’s issues, and PTSD/trauma. He approaches these areas with a blend of compassion and directness, helping patients untangle long standing patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and rebuild confidence. His background as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor allows him to address complex intersections between mental health and substance use with clarity and respect. His broader clinical practice includes additional areas of focus, and he works with diverse populations such as individuals connected to adoption or foster care and those seeking support around identity or life transitions. Michael integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Christian Counseling, and Faith Based Treatment, selecting the most effective interventions for each person’s goals. He also offers additional therapeutic approaches to ensure care remains flexible and individualized. Outside of his clinical work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and their two cats. He is an avid video gamer who loves competitive play, and he gravitates toward reading that challenges him to think more deeply about philosophical and moral questions. He also enjoys hiking and exploring new food experiences, finding balance through curiosity and connection.
