About Tanzilla Jahan (She/Her)
Tanzilla Jahan helps teens, adults, and older adults across Florida navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clinical insight, and a collaborative approach to care. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she works with individuals and families facing concerns such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting clients experiencing a wide range of other mental health and emotional wellness concerns. Her goal is to create a supportive therapeutic environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make meaningful changes. A significant focus of Tanzilla’s work is helping adolescents and teens who are struggling with childhood behavior issues, school avoidance, emotional regulation difficulties, and the impact of stressful life experiences. She understands that young people often face unique social, academic, and family pressures, and she partners closely with families to strengthen communication, build resilience, and support healthy development. Through individual and family therapy, she helps clients develop practical skills that can improve functioning at home, in school, and in their relationships. Tanzilla is also passionate about working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, first responders, and military veterans. She recognizes the unique experiences and stressors these populations may encounter and strives to provide affirming, culturally responsive care tailored to each individual’s needs. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes understanding the whole person while addressing the factors that contribute to emotional distress and mental health challenges. Her treatment style integrates evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also offers additional therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of her patients. By combining proven clinical techniques with genuine empathy, she helps individuals build coping strategies, improve emotional well-being, and work toward lasting personal growth. Tanzilla earned her education from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, writing, and conducting research, interests that reflect her commitment to lifelong learning and staying engaged with emerging perspectives in mental health care. Through LifeStance Health, Tanzilla proudly serves patients throughout Florida, providing therapy for teens, adults, and seniors seeking support for anxiety, trauma, depression, and other mental health concerns. She welcomes the opportunity to help individuals and families move toward greater well-being and resilience.
