Shannon Hart, LCSW, PhD,
About Shannon Hart (She/Her)
Shannon Hart, LCSW, helps adults and older adults throughout Illinois navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and evidence-based therapeutic support. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she works collaboratively with patients to better understand their experiences, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. Shannon has experience helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, and grief, while also supporting a wide range of additional emotional and mental health concerns. Shannon has a particular appreciation for helping individuals through life transitions. Whether someone is adjusting to changes in midlife, navigating later-life transitions, coping with loss, or facing significant personal shifts, she provides a supportive space to process emotions and develop strategies for moving forward. She recognizes that periods of transition can bring uncertainty, stress, and self-doubt, and she is committed to helping patients build resilience and discover renewed purpose during these important stages of life. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness, Shannon tailors treatment to each person’s unique goals and circumstances. Her therapeutic style is thoughtful, collaborative, and focused on helping patients gain practical tools for managing symptoms and improving overall well-being. In addition to her primary specialties, she supports individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including trauma-related concerns and other emotional difficulties. Shannon provides individual therapy for adults and seniors seeking support for anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and related concerns. She believes that meaningful therapeutic relationships are built on trust, respect, and a clear understanding of each patient’s strengths and experiences. She earned her education and clinical training through Aurora University, the University of Illinois Chicago, and National Louis University. Her professional background helps inform a patient-centered approach that balances empathy with proven therapeutic techniques. Outside of her clinical work, Shannon enjoys listening to music, gardening, and walking. These activities help her stay grounded and connected to the importance of balance, self-care, and personal growth.
