Her approach is affirming, thoughtful, and tailored to the unique experiences of each patient. Tory values helping people build resilience, strengthen communication, and develop practical coping strategies that support long-term emotional wellness. Her clinical work incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and family-focused interventions. In addition to individual therapy, she offers couples therapy and family therapy for patients working through relationship conflict, parenting concerns, or major life adjustments. Tory has experience serving members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals involved in adoption or foster care, while also offering support for additional mental health concerns and populations. Tory treats teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois and has worked in the mental health field since 1990. Her extensive background allows her to support patients through challenges ranging from school avoidance and behavioral concerns to grief, bipolar disorder, and substance use issues. She believes therapy should be both clinically grounded and deeply human, helping patients feel understood while working toward realistic and lasting progress. Outside of her clinical practice, Tory enjoys supporting community theater through volunteer activities, reflecting her appreciation for creativity, connection, and community involvement.
