Ednina is passionate about helping people, and focuses on making them feel comfortable and at ease in therapy. Having worked with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, she strives to find common ground with clients and demystify the therapy experience. She provides affirming care to all members of the LGBTQ community. With her CADC, Ednina enjoys working with individuals experiencing substance misuse. She has worked with adolescents and adults in both mental-health and substance use settings, and has provided individual, group, and couples’ counseling. These experiences have made her adept at managing difficult crisis situations. As a former school counselor, she is well versed in the systemic issues involved with receiving services in the school setting. She is able to assist children and parents with advodating for services, and help children achieve their learning potential. In session, Ednina focuses on the individual, and uses techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, among other approaches. Outside of work, Ednina enjoys long walks in forested areas, swimming, kayaking, and traveling abroad.
