Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’ve been carrying anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or emotional pain on your own for a long time. LifeStance Health therapist Nazneen Syed, LPC, strives to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel genuinely heard, understood, and safe to explore difficult experiences without judgement.

Naz works with teens, adults, and seniors across Illinois, helping them navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. She understands that mental health struggles can affect every part of a person’s life — including relationships, self-esteem, work, school, and daily functioning — and she believes therapy should be tailored to each individual’s unique experiences, strengths, and goals.

Naz is especially passionate about supporting individuals working through anxiety, trauma, and depression. She also values creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for clients from diverse backgrounds. As a bilingual therapist who speaks Urdu, she understands some of the unique pressures that can arise with multicultural, immigrant, and bicultural experiences, including family expectations, identity-related stress, and difficulty balancing personal needs with cultural values.

Her therapeutic approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. She works collaboratively with clients to help them better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and build lasting resilience.

Clients working with Naz can expect a therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, empathy, and authenticity. Her goal is to help clients feel empowered, supported, and better equipped to create a meaningful and sustainable change in their lives.

Outside of therapy, Naz enjoys cooking, spending time with family and friends, caring for pets, going on walks, reading and watching movies — activities that help her stay grounded and connected outside of work.
