Candice Marden, LPC, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults across Illinois build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and move toward meaningful emotional wellness. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate individual therapy tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Candice believes that healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and creates a supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to make lasting changes. A particular area of passion for Candice is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition back to daily life can feel overwhelming and uncertain. Through attentive, ongoing care, she helps patients strengthen coping strategies, maintain progress, navigate challenges, and reduce the risk of setbacks while working toward greater stability and confidence. Candice frequently works with patients experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma. She also has experience helping individuals manage ADHD and other mental health concerns. Her therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help patients better understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and develop effective tools for everyday life. She offers additional support for a broad range of mental health and life-transition concerns. She is experienced in working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, those with autism spectrum disorders, and children and families involved in adoption or foster care. Candice recognizes that every person’s story is different and strives to provide affirming, individualized care that reflects each patient’s strengths, values, and circumstances. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2025, Candice has remained committed to providing evidence-based mental health treatment that balances clinical expertise with genuine compassion. She earned degrees from Northeastern Illinois University and Loyola University Chicago, bringing a strong educational foundation to her work with patients across the lifespan. Outside of her practice, Candice enjoys yoga, sewing, crafting, and playing card games. These creative and mindful activities reflect her belief in the importance of balance, self-care, and finding joy in everyday moments.
