About Harry Speer (He/Him)
Harry Speer LCPC, NCC is a compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Nationally Board Certified, practicing in Illinois since 2018. With a deep commitment to supporting individuals and couples through life challenges, Harry collaborates with clients to help them navigate emotional struggles, complex relationships, and difficult circumstances. Harry earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and his Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, where he developed a foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of mental health care. He has also taken advanced training in Motivational Interviewing, ACT, DBT, systemic, Gottman and at The Couple’s Institute. In his practice, Harry works with individual adults, with couples and other adult relationships. Harry focuses on building trust and a supportive working relationship with each client, ensuring they feel safe and understood. He recognizes the importance of creating a therapeutic space where clients can explore their emotions and other responses to their challenges. Harry’s therapeutic approach with individual adults is client-centered and integrates proven psychological principles with personalized evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help empower clients to develop and practice applying effective and appropriate responses and solutions. Harry believes that relational health, like physical and mental health, is an important aspect of wellbeing. With relationships, Harry focuses on enhancing clear understanding, fostering emotional regulation and improving communication skills, helping clients cultivate stronger, more empathetic and fulfilling relationships. Outside his professional life, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and exploring new travel destinations. Harry is passionate about personal growth and lifelong learning. With a deep commitment to both his clients and his own wellbeing, Harry strives for balance, empathy and understanding in all aspects of his life.
