About Courtnay Kondas (She/Her)

Courtnay Kondas, LCPC, helps teens, adults, and older adults across Illinois navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical support, and nearly three decades of clinical experience. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, and intensive outpatient program (IOP) services for people seeking relief from anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. Her approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s goals, helping patients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and improve overall emotional well-being. Courtnay is especially passionate about helping individuals facing anxiety, PTSD and trauma, and depression. She understands how these concerns can affect every aspect of life, from work and relationships to physical health and self-confidence. Using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies, she helps patients develop effective coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. In addition to these focus areas, Courtnay works with a wide range of mental health and life transition concerns, including ADHD, alcohol and drug use issues, bipolar disorder, grief, sleep disorders, and couples-related challenges. She has experience supporting diverse populations, including LGBTQ+ individuals, first responders, and military veterans, while also offering additional therapeutic services tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances. Since beginning her clinical career in 1998, Courtnay has remained committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care. She earned her education from Governors State University and Monmouth College. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys working out, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and exploring ways to support overall wellness through balanced living.
