Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy to help clients manage and overcome their mental health concerns. With children, Anissa incorporates play and art therapy techniques to help them explore their feelings that they may not be able to express with words. She also includes parents and provides family therapy to address the full system. Anissa’s clinical expertise extends working with children who have been adopted or involved in the foster care system. Anissa also has a particular passion for addressing complex issues such as Bipolar Disorder, Grief, and Psychosis/Schizophrenia, ensuring comprehensive care for her clients.
