About Daniel Brandys (He/Him)

Hello, my name is Daniel Brandys. Thank you for taking the time to learn about me! I look forward to learning more about you via a therapeutic relationship that values your unique background, experiences, and needs: all at your own pace.

Practicing in a variety of settings—including community mental health, private practice, school, and PHP/IOP settings—informs my personal life and clinical perspectives. Some of my specialties include working with individuals in Illinois who are faced with anxiety, life transitions, and men’s issues.

I recognize that identifying, addressing, and discussing topics ranging from presenting concerns to personal growth can feel overwhelming. Thus, I will strive to best establish a collaborative, comfortable, and judgment-free environment for you on your journey of holistic and empathic self-exploration. I do so via my humanistic and relational approach to therapy that incorporates psychodynamic modalities, evidence-based practices (e.g., Acceptance and Commitment Therapy [ACT]), genuine curiosity, empathy, and humor.

Outside of session, I watch movies; exercise; create graphic designs; practice violin; spend time with family and friends; and am always on the lookout for the next new spot to get a coffee.
