Karen (Kari) Fisher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois. She has earned her MSW in social work from Loyola University Chicago. In addition, she has an MA in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago. Kari spent 28 years in the public school system working with ages 2 years to 22 years old, along with parents. Additional experiences include clinics and hospitals with multi-generational ages, as well as treatment with older mature adults. Kari assists clients in a relational way by identifying client struggles, setting up goals with the client, and using her background in social work training in areas of family systems, grief therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavior therapy, psychodynamic therapy, life transition therapy, and neuroscience techniques. Kari also uses the arts, home practices, visualization, and role play to help the client regain control of their life and feel better about themselves and how they function in life. She feels comfortable treating single parent families, adults, children, women’s issues, and the aging population. Outside of work Kari enjoys watercolor painting, hiking, and volunteering at an educational equestrian center. In addition, she likes reading, traveling to new places, spending time with family, and maintaining an active lifestyle.”
