Allyson is particularly passionate about working with individuals who are recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals and those engaging in court-ordered treatment. She understands how overwhelming these transitions can feel and offers a nonjudgmental space to help clients rebuild stability and regain confidence in their lives. Allyson also has extensive experience supporting people navigating trauma, PTSD, and personality disorders, as well as older adults who may be coping with later life transitions and related mental health concerns.

Her areas of clinical focus include alcohol and drug use issues, anxiety, and PTSD/trauma, as well as additional expertise in depression, bipolar disorder, gender identity, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and grief. Allyson is skilled in several therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and couples and family counseling. She also incorporates mindfulness practices and CBT for insomnia to help clients develop healthier coping strategies and improve daily functioning.

Allyson’s approach is inclusive and affirming, with a strong focus on supporting the LGBTQ+ community, military and veteran populations, and individuals recovering from head injuries. She values collaboration and empowers her clients to take an active role in their healing process.

Outside of her clinical work, Allyson enjoys reading, mindful meditation, playing with her dogs, watching movies, and spending quality time with friends and family. She loves being creative, learning new therapeutic techniques, and developing practical tools to support her clients.
