Michelle Scott, LCPC
Specializes In:
Michelle Scott, LCPC, helps patients across Kansas find stability, healing, and new ways to move forward when life feels overwhelming. She provides compassionate and personalized care for children, teens, adults, and seniors, offering both individual and family therapy through LifeStance Health. Whether someone is navigating the challenges of anxiety, depression, or major life transitions, Michelle creates a supportive space where growth and resilience can take root.
Michelle is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands the unique challenges that come with transitioning back to daily life and works closely with patients to establish coping strategies, rebuild confidence, and strengthen supports to prevent relapse. Her goal is to help patients feel grounded, empowered, and connected as they continue their healing journey.
In addition to this focus, Michelle works extensively with patients experiencing PTSD and trauma, ADHD, and sleep disorders. She draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia, and mindfulness practices. She also offers faith-based treatment and Christian counseling for those who wish to integrate their spiritual beliefs into therapy. Michelle has experience supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, and reproductive and post-partum mental health challenges.
Outside of her clinical work, Michelle enjoys a wide variety of hobbies that reflect her curiosity and love of learning. She spends her free time kayaking, swimming, hiking, juggling, cooking, traveling, and experimenting with making kombucha. She is also passionate about exploring new languages and cultures, which adds to her ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
