Nathan Mayo received his bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Kentucky and his master’s degree in counseling and human development at Lindsey Wilson College. He has more than 21 years of mental health care experience through multiple venues such as in-inpatient, outpatient, in-home, residential, and school-based settings. He also served as a Drug and Alcohol Program Advisor (DAPA) and Suicide Prevention Officer through his command in the U.S. Navy Reserves, where he served for eight years. He specializes in depression and grief, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), ADHD for adults, children, and adolescents, acute and post trauma disorders, adjusting to life stages, anger management, couples counseling, substance use disorders and psychotic disorders. Nathan also has extensive training in eating disorders and parenting skills where he worked with Family Preservation for 4+ years.
