About Katherine McCurry (She/Her)

Katherine McCurry is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been in the social work field for 30 years and an outpatient therapist since 2006. She graduated with an MSSW from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville in 1996 with a focus on Direct Practice . She received her BA in Psychology from Bellarmine University in 1992.

While her therapy methods are grounded in CBT, she strongly believes that there is not one approach that works for everyone. She recognizes that each client is unique and her goal is to develop treatment plans that are specialized for each individual .

Her main areas of focus are Trauma/PTSD , Bipolar Disorder and Anxiety/Panic . She is a strong LGTBG ally and also has extensive experience with military families.

She has practiced in group homes, residential treatment, schools, home based services and inpatient settings. These experiences have prepared her to be a very diverse therapist and she is known for being direct, authentic , humorous and relatable.

In her free time she enjoys singing, reading and watching true crime documentaries .
